The City of St. Thomas (City) is seeking proposals for the design, supply and installation of playground equipment for a one (1) year period, April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020 with four (4), one (1) year options to renew. The intent is to secure a long-term relationship, with a single vendor. The City estimates over the five year time frame that approximately six (6) play structures, will be purchased for various park locations throughout the City of St Thomas. It is anticipated that the amount spent on each typical play structure will range between $75,000 to $125,000, and a signature playground installation of approx. $200,000. We anticipate purchasing two (2) playgrounds in 2019, with an additional three (3) playgrounds being built in 2020 (pending council budget approval on future projects). The size of the playground installations for 2019 will be two (2) typical playgrounds, including one (1) replacement and one (1) new installation. Projects in 2020 could include three (3) new installations of signature playgrounds. |
