The intent of this prequalification is to short list qualified Respondents for the purpose of constructing a new addition at Fire Station No. 2 to accommodate an industrial pumper that will support emergency response requirements associated with the PowerCo facility, as well as upgrades to portions of the interior of the existing station. In addition, Fire Station No. 3 requires interior construction and fit out to prepare the facility for full operational use. Preliminary drawings have been included with this RFPQ to provide Respondents with a general understanding of the proposed layout, scope, and scale of the work. These drawings are issued for information purposes only and may be revised prior to issuance of the formal tender documents. This is the first stage in a two-stage process. It is anticipated that a request for tender will be issued in mid-October after the closing time of this RFPQ.
Construction is expected to begin in summer 2026 and must be substantially complete no later than March 1, 2027.
